Today's cat is
very small, very round.
A tabby kitten photographed on a windowsill, where she sat for exactly four seconds before deciding the job was done.
Mochi
Yesterday's cat
Biscuit
A tabby of indeterminate age, stationed on the same windowsill. Claims he was there first. The light disagrees.
Field notes
Mochi was discovered at 7:40 this morning, sitting exactly where the light falls. She did not ask to be a model. She tolerated the camera for a moment, then chose the warm side of the sill.
She weighs about what you would expect a nine-week-old cat to weigh, eats with great ceremony, and has strong opinions about dust. The eyes are the main event.
